Luigi Mario: Last of the Stand Ups Guys

                                                

    When you think of Luigi Mario, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Your first though is probably Mario, and that's a shame. Throughout time, Luigi has been Tito to Mario's Michael status. RIP to the King of Pop. In this world of labels, where does this iconic silhouette in the backdrop of a make out scene with the Princess belong. Is he to be labeled as a wingman? A groupie? A sidekick? A lackey?

Lackey (plural lackeys)
1. A footman, a liveried man servant.
2. A fawning, servile; liverspittle

*Liveried or in this case Livery-  uniform worn by chauffeurs and male servants
*Lickspittle- follower, flatterer, toady, brown noser.

Didn't think I wasn't the only one who didn't know what those two other words were. I had to look them shits up! Nahhhhmean?
Luigi set the standard to what it meant to be a brother. Not a sidekick tho, right? Does Luigi fall in the ranks of Batman's Robin, Frank the Tank's John "Blue" Pulaski, Captain America's Bucky Barne's??? Is that all he was? Jumping through pipes, dodging fireballs and double sided axes (or were those hammers), and stomping on Koopa Troopas and Goombas, all in the name of holding his brother down.

*"to hold down" is a prepositional phrase used by urbanites to indicate that they are providing support to an individual. Not to get confused with "to hold back," which is commonly used when not allowing someone to achieve greatness.

Not to mention the Hammer Bros., Kamek, and Birdo. Luigi did all of that to get overshadowed by Yoshi. And what's not to like about Yoshi, right? But Yoshi is supposed to be in a sub supportive role, not the man next to the man.
It seems rough to live in the shadows of your siblings but every family goes through it I suppose; The Baldwins, The Skargards, The Belushis, The Hemsworths, and apparently The Marios.

Keep reaching for that star, Luigi. We are all here waiting for you to grab it and fuck some  shit up!
