It's Far Too Easy To Do Nothing!

So, you're a hard worker, right? You wake up every morning to go to a job that you can definitely see yourself being without but on the other hand, you got bills! You go to the grocery store and you grab the small, plastic hand basket and you proceed to gather the essentials.  It's not enough to get your bicep burning while carrying it, but it's enough to keep your belly full for a little while. You head to the checkout line and you see people in front of you that appear to be worse off than you,but they have the large basket on wheels filled beyond capacity! How does that make you feel?
I'm not trying to pass judgment or express some hatred for the less fortunate cause I myself am not that privileged, but our society is and always has been divided into social classes and visually if you fall into a certain category, perception is key. I understand there have been lay offs and things of that nature, but like my mother always says,"Everyone needs a paycheck!", and if you are not seriously disabled, I'm gonna need you to join myself and the rest of the zombies as we rise in the mornings, moaning and groaning to our respective places of employment.
Some weekends I sit for hours on end doing absolutely nothing; just staring at the ceiling thinking. After I realize how much time has passed, I'm shocked but I'm OK with it. I do my shoulder shrug and get back to it! I work everyday! I deserve some downtime, right? Thing is, people do that same nothing EVERYDAY, and have a check coming that my labor and yours has contributed to. I'm not against helping out my fellow man,but if my fellow man has no drive to feed himself or learn "how to fish" then I have become his/her enabler. I'm definitely not trying to become a part of an ongoing problem.
We live in a time where the church only wants 10% of your earnings and the government wants somewhere around 30%. If that's not a wake up call, I don't know what is! The greedy and lazy profit off of hard workers.
"Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now!"
