"Own Two"
Is the current economic state of our country to blame for the lack of ambition that's plaguing my generation, or is it 100% pure uncut laziness? Our laziness as a species has been the motivation for great, innovative things in our society; elevators, escalators, electric can openers, remote controls, etc. Unfortunately, nothing is being produced by a large percentage of my peers. And why is that?Is it that or country is run and was founded by criminals? Should parents be blamed for not allowing these would be birds,my peers, to spread their wings and fly, or are they only successful in raising chickens; birds that will never fly?
An absence of motivation to do more in life and an inability to stand on your own two feet inevitably leads to leaning on others or latching on to someone else like a symbiont.
We see this symbiotic behavior everyday. People who are blessed with their health and youth that don't feel it necessary to get up, get out and get something of their own, receiving a check in the mail for doing nothing at all but being yet another burden for taxpayers. Men that latch on to a motherly woman that gives them that right amount of supervision and emotional support as a replacement for the excess nipple they've received for far too long. Women latching on to men as meal tickets out of hopes of being some trophy, stay at home, and "shop till you drop" on someone else's dollar, girlfriend or wife. Who wouldn't want that, right? 0 drive + 0 ambition = a pacifier, an appealing partner in search of an edge and/or a project, government assistance, warm cradling of your adult form, and unlimited finger pointing to blame others for your situation. Not a bad deal at all, right?
You would think those who share the above mentioned characteristics would be in the cheering sections of those attempting to ascend to better things but it seems at times that they are only present to hold you back rather than holding you down. Things don't have to be this way. I know that surviving in this crazy world is a dirty job, but trust, it can be done with clean hands.
Crawling before you're able to stand on your "own two" is supposed to be apart of life's logical sequential progression, but as we've all come to learn, some get stuck on step#1.-Taxi!!!

symbiont:
An organism in a symbiotic relationship. In cases in which a distinction is made between two interacting organisms, the symbiont is the smaller of the two and is always a beneficiary in the relationship, while the larger organism is the host and may or may not derive a benefit.
